EDNOVA LTD Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and participation in programmes and workshops provided by Ednova Ltd ("Ednova", "we", "our", or "us").
By booking a programme through our website, the parent or legal guardian ("Parent", "you", or "your") agrees to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of themselves and the participating student.
2. About Ednova
Ednova Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16174424. Our registered address is 13 Orchardmede, London, N21 2DL. You can contact us at ali@ednova.co.uk.
Ednova provides educational workshops and career awareness programmes designed to help secondary school students explore real-world applications of biology, biotechnology, medicine, engineering, AI in biology, and related STEM careers.
Programmes may be delivered online, in person, or in a hybrid format. Specific programme details will be provided at the time of booking.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Programmes are intended for students in the advertised school year range. Each programme listing states the eligible year groups (typically Years 10 to 13). Bookings for students outside the stated year range may be declined.
3.2 A booking must be made by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over.
3.3 Parents are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration is accurate and up to date.
4. Booking and Payment
4.1 A place on a programme is only confirmed once:

payment has been successfully processed; and

a booking confirmation email has been issued.
4.2 All fees are listed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.
4.3 Payments are processed through a third-party payment provider. Ednova does not store full payment card information.
4.4 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where payment is not received, false information is provided, or a participant's behaviour may negatively affect other students or programme delivery.
5. Programme Delivery
5.1 Ednova will make reasonable efforts to deliver programmes as advertised.
5.2 We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to session content, speakers, timings, format, technology platforms, or programme structure where necessary. Where a named speaker is unable to attend, Ednova will endeavour to provide a replacement speaker of equivalent expertise and will notify parents as soon as reasonably practicable.
5.3 Occasionally, sessions may need to be rescheduled due to circumstances outside our control, including illness, technical failure, or safeguarding concerns.
5.4 Ednova does not guarantee any specific academic, university, career, or employment outcomes from participation.
6. Student Conduct
6.1 Students are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, guest speakers, mentors, and other participants at all times.
6.2 Disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, inappropriate, or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from a session or programme. Where possible, Ednova will notify the parent before removing a student, unless the behaviour requires immediate action. Removal for conduct reasons will not entitle the parent to a refund.
6.3 Students must not record sessions without permission, share login details, impersonate others, or distribute Ednova materials without written consent.
7. Online Sessions and Technology
7.1 Parents are responsible for ensuring students have suitable internet access, an appropriate device, and a suitable environment for participation.
7.2 Ednova is not responsible for internet connectivity issues, local device failures, software compatibility problems, or interruptions outside our control.
7.3 Sessions may use third-party platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar technologies. Parents will be informed of the platform used at least 48 hours before the first session.
7.4 Ednova is not responsible for the student's online environment, behaviour, or interactions that occur outside the Ednova programme platform.
8. Safeguarding and Student Welfare
8.1 Ednova is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Ednova maintains a Safeguarding Policy, available on request.
8.2 Parents acknowledge that students remain under parental responsibility during online sessions. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising their child's participation environment and for any behaviour that occurs outside the Ednova programme platform.
8.3 All sessions are delivered in a group format. There is no one-to-one contact between Ednova staff or speakers and individual students.
8.4 Ednova reserves the right to suspend participation where safeguarding concerns arise.
8.5 Where required by law or safeguarding obligations, Ednova may report concerns to relevant authorities.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 All programme materials, presentations, worksheets, videos, recordings, branding, and content remain the intellectual property of Ednova Ltd unless otherwise stated.
9.2 Materials are provided for the personal educational use of the enrolled student only. Materials may not be copied, distributed, resold, published, or commercially used without prior written permission from Ednova.
10. Photography, Recording, and Media
10.1 Sessions may be recorded for educational purposes, quality assurance, and to provide enrolled students with replay access for a period of seven (7) days following each session.
10.2 Session recordings are provided solely for the use of enrolled students and will not be shared with third parties or made publicly available.
10.3 Separate consent will be requested before any identifiable student images, quotes, or recordings are used for promotional purposes. Participation in the programme is not conditional on providing consent for promotional use.

11. Refunds and Cancellations
Parent Cancellation
11.1 Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to ali@ednova.co.uk.
11.2 Refunds are provided as follows:

More than 14 days before programme start: full refund minus any payment processing fees charged by the payment provider

7 to 14 days before programme start: 50% refund

Less than 7 days before programme start: no refund
11.3 Once a programme has started, refunds are not available except where required by law.
11.4 No refund is available for sessions missed by the student due to illness, personal circumstances, or technical issues on the student's side. Where a student misses a session, Ednova will provide access to the session recording for seven (7) days.
Ednova Cancellation
11.5 If Ednova cancels a programme before it begins, a full refund will be provided.
11.6 If a programme is interrupted or significantly affected by circumstances beyond our control, we may offer rescheduled sessions, credits, partial refunds, or alternative arrangements at our discretion.
12. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any statutory rights available to you under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ednova shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or technical disruptions outside our control.
13.2 Ednova's total liability relating to any programme shall not exceed the amount paid for that programme.
13.3 Ednova is not responsible for the student's online environment, any third-party platforms used to deliver sessions, or interactions that occur outside the Ednova programme platform.
13.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Data Protection and Privacy
14.1 Ednova Ltd processes personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Ednova is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC143766.
14.2 Information collected may include parent contact information, student educational information, school year group, attendance records, feedback responses, and safeguarding-related records where necessary.
14.3 Personal data will only be used for programme administration, communication, safeguarding, quality assurance, impact assessment, and related operational purposes.
14.4 Ednova does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
14.5 Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information on how personal data is collected, stored, and processed.
15. Force Majeure
Ednova shall not be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control, including illness, power outages, internet failures, strikes, natural disasters, government restrictions, or similar events.
16. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in relation to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
